by A. D. Pusalker | 1940 | 190,426 words

Summary: This book studies Bhasa, the author of thirteen plays ascribed found in the Trivandrum Sanskrit Series. These works largely adhere to the rules of traditional Indian theatrics known as Natya-Shastra. The present study researches Bhasa’s authorship and authenticity, as well as a detailed study on each of the plays ascribed to him. The final chapters include a social-historical study of Bhasa’s period.
