श्रीकृष्णस्याह्निककृत्यवर्णनं युधिष्ठिरसंदेशमादाय नारदस्य ।
जरासंधकारानिबद्धनृपाणां संदेशमादाय दूतस्य चागमनम् ।
श्रीशुक उवाच ।
अथोषस्युपवृत्तायां कुक्कुटान् कूजतोऽशपन् ।
गृहीतकण्ठ्यः पतिभिः भाधव्यो विरहातुराः ॥ १ ॥
