hatvāpi na hanti na nibadhyate ityetadevopapādayituṃ karmacodanāyāḥ karmāśrayasya ca karmaphalādīnāṃ ca triguṇātmakatvānnirguṇasyātmanastatsambandho nāstītyabhiprāyeṇa karmacodanāṃ karmāśrayaṃ cāha jñānamiti | jñānamiṣṭasādhanametaditi bodhaḥ | jñeyamiṣṭasādhanaṃ karma | parijñātā evambhūtajñānāśrayaḥ | evaṃ trividhā karmacodanā | codyate pravartyate'nayā iti codanā | jñānāditrayaṃ karmapravṛttiheturityarthaḥ | yadvā codaneti vidhirucyate | taduktaṃ bhaṭṭaiḥ codanā copadeśaśca vidhiścaikārthavācina iti | tataścāyamarthaḥ uktalakṣaṇaṃ triguṇātmakaṃ jñānāditrayamavalambhya

atra tvātmapratyayeṇa hṛdrogavattve vādhikāriṇi paramāyā bhakterapi prathamameva praveśastatastatraiva kāmādīnāmapagamaśca | tathā

dhunoti śamalaṃ kṛṣṇaḥ

iti ca ityato bhaktyaiva yadi tādṛśī cittaśuddhiḥ syāt, tadā bhaktaiḥ kathaṃ karma kartavyamiti |
atha prakṛamanusarāmaḥ kiṃ ca na kevalaṃ dehādivyātiriktasyātmanaḥ jñānameva jñānam, tathātmatattvamapi jñeyam, tādṛśajñānāśraya eva jñānī, kintvetattrike karmasambandho vartate | tadapi sannyāsibhirjñeyamityāha jñānamiti | atra codanā śabdena vidhirucyate, yaduktaṃ bhaṭṭaiḥ codanā copadeśaśca vidhiścaikārthavācina iti | uktaṃ ślokārdhaṃ svayameva vyācaṣṭe karaṇamiti yajjñānaṃ tatkaraṇakārakam | jñāyate'neneti jñānamiti vyutpatteḥ | yajjñeyaṃ jīvātmatattvaṃ, tadeva karmakārakam | yastasya parijñātā sa kartā iti trividhaḥ karaṇaṃ karma kartā iti trividhaṃ kārakamityarthaḥ |
