ebhiḥ sādhanairyajjñeyaṃ tadāha jñeyamiti ṣaḍbhiḥ | yajjñeyaṃ tatpravakṣyāmi | śroturādarasiddhaye jñānaphalaṃ darśayati | yadvakṣyamāṇaṃ jñātvāmṛtaṃ mokṣaṃ prāpnoti | kiṃ tatanādimat | ādimanna bhavati iti anādimat | paraṃ niratiśayaṃ brahma | anādi ityetāvataiva bahuvrīhiṇānādimattve siddhe'pi punarmatupaḥ prayogaśchāndasaḥ | yadvā anādīti matparamiti ca padadvayam | maṃ viṣṇoḥ paraṃ nirviśeṣaṃ rūpaṃ brahmetyarthaḥ | tadevāha na san tannāsaducyate | vidhimukhena pramāṇasya viṣayaḥ

sarvo'pi dharmo jātirūpa upādhirūpo jātipadena saṃgṛhītaḥ | yadṛcchāśabdo'pi ḍitthaḍapitthādiryaṃ kaṃciddharmaṃ svātmānaṃ pravṛttiṃ nimittīkṛtya pravartata iti so'pi jātiśabdaḥ | evamākāśaśabdo'pi tārkikāṇāṃ śabdāśrayatvādirūpaṃ yaṃ kaṃciddharmaṃ puraskṛtya pravartate | svamate tu pṛthivyādivadākāśavyaktīnāṃ janyānāmanekatvādākāśatvamapi jātireveti so'pi jātiśabdaḥ | ākāśātiriktā ca diṅnāstyeva | kālaśca neśvarādatiricyate | atireke dikkālaśabdāvapyupādhiviśeṣapravṛttinimittakāviti jātiśabdāveva | tasmātpravṛttinimittacāturvidhyāccaturvidha eva śabdaḥ | tatra na sattannāsatiti jātiniṣedhaḥ

evaṃ jñānasādhanānyupadiśya tairjñeyamupadiśati jñeyaṃ yattaditi | uktaiḥ sādhanairyajjñeyamupalabhyaṃ jīvātmavastu ca tadahaṃ prakarṣeṇa subodhatayā vakṣyāmi yajjñātvā jano'mṛtaṃ mokṣamaśnute labhate | tatra jīvātmavastūpadiśati anādītyardhakena | nāstyādiryasya tatjīvasyādyutpattirnāstyato'not'pi neti nityāsāvityarthaḥ | evamāha śrutiḥ na jāyate mriyate vipaścit[KaṭhU 1.2.18] ityādyā | ahameva paraḥ svāmī yasya tatpradhānakṣetrajñapatirguṇeśaḥ [ŚvetU 6.16] iti śruteḥ | dāsabhūto harereva nānyasyaiva kadācana iti smṛteśca | apahatapāpmatvādinā brahma bṛhatā guṇāṣṭakena viśiṣṭam | śrutiścaivam
