sarvatragamacintyaṃ ca kūṭasthamacalaṃ dhruvam ||3||

kathaṃ punarviṣayendriyasaṃyoge sati vijātīyapratyayatiraskāro'ta āha saṃniyamya svaviṣayebhya upasaṃhṛtyendriyagrāmaṃ karaṇasamudāyam | etena śamadamādisampattiruktā |

viṣayabhogavāsanāyāṃ satyāṃ kuta indriyāṇāṃ tato nivṛttistatrāha sarvatra viṣaye samā tulyā harṣaviṣādābhyāṃ rāgadveṣābhyāṃ ca rahitā matiryeṣāṃ samyagjñānena tatkāraṇasyājñānasyāpanītatvādviṣayeṣu doṣadarśanābhyāsena spṛhāyā nirasanācca te sarvatra samabuddhayaḥ | etena vaśīkārasaṃjñā vairāgyamuktam | ataeva sarvatrātmadṛṣṭyā hiṃsākāraṇadveṣarahitatvātsarvabhūtahite ratāḥ abhayaṃ sarvabhūtebhyo mattaḥ svahā iti mantreṇa dattasarvabhūtābhayadakṣiṇāḥ kṛtasaṃnyāsā iti yāvatabhayaṃ sarvabhūtebhyo

ye tu svasākṣātkṛtipūrvikāṃ madupāsanāṃ na kurvanti, teṣāmapi matprāptiḥ syādeva kintvatikleśenāticireṇaivāntastebhyo'pakṛṣṭāsta ityāha ye tviti tribhiḥ | ye tvakṣarasvātmacaitanyameva pūrvamupāsate | teṣāmadhikataraḥ kleśa iti sambandhaḥ | akṣaraṃ viśinaṣṭi anirdeśyaṃ dehādbhinnatvena dehābhidhāyibhirdevamānavādiśabdairnirdeṣṭumaśakyam | avyaktaṃ cakṣurādyagocaraṃ pratyaksarvatragaṃ dehendriyaprāṇavyāpi | acintyaṃ tarkāgamyaṃ śrutimātravedyaṃ jñānasvarūpameva jñātṛsvarūpamacalaṃ jñānatvādapi calanarahitam
