yāmimāṃ puṣpitāṃ vācaṃ pravadantyavipaścitaḥ |
vedavādaratāḥ pārtha nānyadastīti vādinaḥ ||42||
kāmātmānaḥ svargaparā janmakarmaphalapradām |
kriyāviśeṣabahulāṃ bhogaiśvaryagatiṃ prati ||43||
bhogaiśvaryaprasaktānāṃ tayāpahṛtacetasām |
vyavasāyātmikā buddhiḥ samādhau na vidhīyate ||44||

nanu kāmino'pi kaṣṭān kāmān vihāya vyavasāyātmikāmeva buddhiṃ kimiti na kurvanti | tatrāha yāmimāmityādi | yāmimāṃ puṣpitāṃ viṣalatāvadāpātaramaṇīyāṃ prakṛṣṭāṃ paramārthaphalaparāmeva vadanti vācaṃ svargādiphalaśrutim | teṣāṃ tayā vācā'pahṛtacetasāṃ vyavasāyātmikā buddhiḥ samādhau na vidhīyate iti tṛtīyenānvayaḥ | kimiti tathā vadanti | yato'vipaścito mūḍhāḥ | tatra hetuḥ vedavādaratā iti | vede ye vādā arthavādāḥ | akṣayyaṃ ha vai cāturmāsyayājinaḥ sukṛtaṃ bhavati | tathā, apāṃ somamamṛtā ambhūma ityādyāḥ

teṣāṃ ca pūrvoktabhogaiśvaryayoḥ prasaktānāṃ kṣayitvādidoṣādarśanena niviṣṭāntaḥkaraṇānāṃ tayā kriyāviśeṣabhulayā vācāpahṛtamācchāditaṃ ceto vivekajñānaṃ yeṣāṃ tathābhūtānāmarthavādāḥ stutyarthāstātparyaviṣaye pramāṇāntarābādhite vedasya prāmāṇyamiti suprasiddhamapi jñātumaśaktānāṃ samādhāvantaḥkaraṇe vayavasāyātmikā buddhirna vidhīyate na bhavatītyarthaḥ | samādhiviṣayā vyavasāyātmikā buddhisteṣāṃ na bhavatīti vā adhikaraṇe viṣaye vā sapatamyāstulyatvāt | vidhīyata iti karmakartari lakāraḥ | samādhīyate'smin sarvam

cittadoṣamāha kāmātmānaḥ vaiṣayikasukhavāsanāgrastacittāḥ | evaṃ cettādṛśaṃ mokṣaṃ kuto necchanti tatrāha svargeti | svarga eva sudhā devāṅganādyupetatvena paraḥ śreṣṭho yeṣāṃ te | tādṛgvāsanāgrastatvātteṣāṃ nānyadbhāṣata ityarthaḥ | janma karmeti janma ca dehendriyasambandhalaksaṇaṃ, tatra karma ca tattadvarṇāśramavihitaṃ, phalaṃ ca vināśipaśvannasvargādi | tāni prakarṣeṇāvicchedena dadāti tāṃ bhogaiśvaryayorgatiṃ prāptiṃ prati ye kriyāviśeṣā jyotiṣṭpmādayaste bahulāḥ pracurā yatra tāṃ vācaṃ

bhogeti teṣāṃ pūrvoktayorbhogaiśvaryayoḥ prasaktānāṃ kṣayitvadoṣāsphūrtyā tayorabhiniviṣṭānāṃ tayā puṣpitayā vācāpahṛtaṃ viluptaṃ ceto vivekajñānaṃ yeṣāṃ tādṛśānāṃ samādhāviti yo'yam | samyagādhīyate'sminnātmatattvayāthātmyamiti nirukteḥ samādhirmanastasminnityarthaḥ ||44||
