trayāṇāṃ sāmānyaṃ rūpamāha-doṣairiti| upalepo-malāvaguṇṭhanam| vidahyamānaḥ-pavanapakvaḥ, dhātūṣmaṇāmalpatvāt| svasthāna eva-na raktādisthāneṣu, srotomukharodhāt| tāṃstānrasavṛddhyuktān sāmadoṣoktaṃścha| koṣṭha eva-nasrotontareṣu| annapaktraiva-na bhūtadhāttvagnibhiḥ|

doṣaiḥ-vātapittakaphaiḥ, kapholbaṇatvāt srotodvāreṣu ruddheṣupihiteṣu satsu, rasaḥ svasthāna eva vidahyamāno-na samyagraktatāṃ prāpnuvan, tāṃstān-anekān kaṇṭhoddhvaṃsādīn, upadravān kuryāt| kimbhūtairdoṣaiḥ? kapholbaṇaiḥśleṣmādhikaiḥ| ata eva kaphādhikatvāt sahopalepena śleṣmalepena saha vartante sopalepāḥ, taistathāvidhairdoṣaistadānīṃ mandānalatvaṃ kriyate| tenaiva ca mandānalatvena hetunā dhātūṣmasu-rasādyagniṣu, alpakeṣuatiśayenālpeṣu| evamanekakāraṇasadbhāvādrasaḥ svasthāna eva vidahyamānaḥ-pittakāriṇīṃ madhyamāṃ pākāvasthāmanubhavan samyak pākamagacchan, yathocitān vikārāṃstāṃstān kurvan, māṃsādīn-māṃsaprabhṛtikān dhātūn, agacchan-aprāpnuvan, vidahyamānatayā raktatāmāpannaḥ, tadasṛk cordhvaṃ pradhāvati-ūrdhvaṃ prasarpati, kevalaṃ niṣṭhīvanasahitaṃ | tasmāt kṣayiṇo na tanmāṃsādidhātupuṣṭaye| kiñcāsmādapi hetoḥ sa raso na dhātupuṣṭaye| [yat-] yasmāt, [annaṃ] pacyate-annaṃ sārakiṭṭatvaṃ nīyate, annapaktraiva-jāṭharāgninā, koṣṭha evaāmapakvāśayākhye| ubhayatrevakāro'vadhāraṇe| koṣṭha eva-na dhātuṣu, jāṭharāgninaiva-na dhātvagnibhiḥ, iti| yata evaṃ tato'smāt-prāṅnirūpitāddhetukadambakāt, prāyo malatāṃ-ādhikyena mūtrapurīṣatāṃ, prāptamannaṃ naiva dhātupuṣṭaye'laṃ-samartham| dhātupuṣṭigrahaṇenaitatsū abhinavamṛtkumbhajalalavasyandananyāyena sūkṣmasrotonupraveśitayā so'nnaraso dhātvāpyāyanamātraṃ karotyeva, anyathā varṣagaṇānubandhi jīvitaṃ kṣayiṇo na sambhāvyeta| tasmāddhātusthitimātraṃ bhavati na tu dhātupoṣaṇamiti sthitam| rasaḥ-ubhayarūpo'nnaraso dhāturaso , asya-kṣayiṇaḥ, nikaṭasya raktadhātorna puṣṭaye, māṃsadhātorviprakṛṣṭasya tu kuta eva syāt? evaṃ na sambhāvyata ityapiśabdārthaḥ| nanu, yadyevaṃ tatkathamanyebhyo dhātubhyo viśeṣeṇa dhāraṇasvabhāvebhyo vinā kṣayī jīvet? ityāśaṅkyāha-upastabdha iti| saḥ-kṣayī, śakṛtā-purīṣeṇa, kevalamupastabdhaḥ-kṛtāvaṣṭambho, vartateprāṇiti, pūrvoktanyāyena kiñcidāhārarasāpyāyitairdhātubhirdhāraṇasvabhāvairdhṛtamātraḥ| nanu, "vidahyamānaḥ svasthāne rasastāṃstānupadravān| kuryādagacchanmāṃsādīnasṛk cordhvaṃ pradhāvati||" ityanena raktasya sattā pradipāditā| "raso'pyasya na raktāya" ityanena kṣayiṇo raktas Yābhāvaḥ pratyapādi| tadime vākye parasparaṃ vyāghnāte| atrocyate| nānayorvākyayoḥ parasparaṃ virodhaḥ| yataḥ " asṛk cordhvaṃ pradhāvati" ityanena na taddhāturūpatāṃ prāptamuktam| kintarhi? rasasya vidahyamānatayā svasthānasthitasya raktadhātvāśayamagacchato raktodbhūtiruktā| anenaivābhiprāyeṇottaratra vākye "raso'pyasya na raktāya" ityuvāca| anena hi raso dhāturūpāya raktāya śoṣiṇo na sampadyate iti pratyapādi| §10032
