āhāraraso jaṭharāgninā pakvaḥ prasādo dhātvākāratvāddhātuvācyo yasmādvyānena sadā sarvataḥ-sarvasmin dehe, vikṣipyate viśeṣeṇa preryate| sarvata ityādyāditvāttasiḥ| kimbhūtena? vikṣepaḥ-preraṇameva, ucitaṃyogyaṃ, karma yasya, tena vikṣepocitakarmaṇā| kathaṃ vikṣipyate? yugapat-ekakālam, tathā'jasraṃ-anavaratam| saḥ-rasadhāturāhārarasaprasādākhyo, vyānena vikṣipyamāṇaḥ khavaiguṇyāt srotoduṣṭeḥ, yatra pradeśe svarupāpracyuto'pi sajjati-saktaḥ sampadyate, tasmin pradeśe dehasya vikāraṃ kurute, na sarvatra| etadeva dṛṣṭāntadvāreṇa spaṣṭayati| khe varṣamityādi| yathā khe-viyati, toyado-megho, vātavaśāt kṣipyate varṣaṃ-vṛṣṭiṃ, kvacideva deśe kurute, na sarvatra| khasya vaiguṇyaṃ khavaiguṇyamiti ṣaṣṭhīsamāsaḥ| "pūraṇaguṇa" ityādinā cātra yathā samāsaniṣedho na bhavati, tathā "śirortīndriyadaurbalya" (hṛ.sū. a. 4/9) ityatra pratipāditameva| tasmin vikāraṃ kuruta ityatrātmanepadaṃ na prāpnoti, rasasya kartrabhiprāyābhāvāt| na hi tasya citramutpadyata iti karotīti prāpnoti| brūmaḥ| aupacāriko'tra kartrabhiprāyaḥ kalpyaḥ| anenaiva nyāyena 'vrīhīnātapaḥ śoṣayati' ityādyapyupapannam| vyāno rasadhātuṃ yatra nayati tatra vikāraḥ, iti tāvadrasasya vikṣepaḥ|
