The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Sulba-sutra with the commentaries of Kapardin, Karavinda and Sundararaja. The Sulbasutras are considered Vedic appendices and deals with the ancient Indian science of Mathematics and Geometry, by instructing the construction of fire-altars, among others. ṣaṭtriṃśikāyām aṣṭādaśopasamasya aparasmād antād dvādaśasu lakṣaṇaṃ pañcadaśasu lakṣaṇaṃ pṛṣṭhyāntayor antau niyamya pañcadaśakena dakṣiṇāpāyamya śaṅkuṃ nihantyevam uttarataḥśroṇī | viparyasyāṃsau pañcadaśikenaivāpāyamya dvādaśike śaṅkuṃ nihanti | evam uttaratastāv aṃsau || Sūtra _5.2a ||

padānītyasmadīyā śrutiḥ / triṃśatpadāni prakramā paścāttiraśvīti / tiryaṅbhānī bhavati / ṣaṭtriṃśatpṛṣṭhyā prācī caturviṃśatiḥ purastāt tiryaṅbhānī bhavatīti saumikyā vedeḥ some śrutiḥ / ṣaṭtriṃśikāyāṃ rajjvāṃ aṣṭādaśopasamasya prakṣipyāntayoḥ pāśau kṛtvāparasmādantāddvādaśasu lakṣaṇaṃ pañcadaśasu lakṣaṇaṃ nirañjanaṃ kṛtvā pṛṣṭhyāntayoḥ prāgvaṃśasya madhyamāllālāṭikāttīnprācaḥ prakramān prakramya śaṅkuṃ nihatya tasmācca purastāt ṣaṭtriṃśatprakrame śaṅkū nihatya tayoḥ pāśau pratimucya pañcadaśakena dakṣiṇāpāyamya śaṅkaṃ nihanyāt / dakṣiṇā śroṇī / evamuttarato'pasārya śaṅkuṃ nihanyāt / sottarā śroṇī / viparyastayāṃsau / pañcadaśikenaivopāyamya dvādaśake śaṅkū nihantyaivamuttaratastāvaṃsau / śaṅkoḥ pāśāvunmucya pūrvapāśamaparasminpratimuñcet / aparaṃ pūrvasminpratimuñcet / sa viparyāsaḥ / viparyastayā--evaṃ kṛtayā rajjvāṃ'sau mātavyau / tenaiva nirañjanena dakṣiṇāpasārya dvādaśake śaṅkuṃ nihanyāt / tenaivodagapasārya dvādaśake śaṅkuḥ / tāvaṃsau / mahāvedyā mānaṃ kimirthamidamucyate / yāvatā siddhametat? anekarajjuviharaṇavivakṣayoktamiti kecitpariharanti / āyāmaṃ vetyasmin pakṣe dvādaśake lakṣaṇam / pañcadaśake lakṣaṇe ca saptaviṃśatau nirañjanamiti lakṣaṇabāhulyapratipādanārthamityapare / samacaturaśrāṇāṃ dīrghacaturaśrāṇāṃ ca viharaṇamuktam / iha tu dīrghaviṣamacaturaśrasyetyanye /
