The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Sulba-sutra with the commentaries of Kapardin, Karavinda and Sundararaja. The Sulbasutras are considered Vedic appendices and deals with the ancient Indian science of Mathematics and Geometry, by instructing the construction of fire-altars, among others. Sutra 3.4
pramāṇena pramāṇaṃ vidhīyate || ĀpŚus_3.4 ||
caturaśraṃ pramīyate kṣetramaneneti pramāṇaṃ prakramādi / yatra pramāṇenaiva codanā tatra tenaiva caturaśraṃ vidhīyata iti pratyetavyam / puruṣaṃ dakṣiṇe pakṣaḥ ityādiṣu ca saṃkhyā vivakṣitā /
dvikaraṇīprabhṛtayaḥ karaṇya uktāḥ tāsāṃ phalāvagamāyāha--pramāṇeneti /
(pramāṇena pramāṇaṃ vidhīyate)
yatra pramāṇenaikena vimānaṃ tatra sarvatastenaikena parimitaṃ caturaśraṃ phalaṃ bhavati yathā "puruṣaṃ dakṣiṇe pakṣe' ityādi,
caturaśrāṇāṃ phalakṣetramāha--
(pramāṇena pramāṇaṃ vidhīyate)
pramāṇamātreṇa daṇḍena pramāṇamātraṃ kṣetraṃ vidhīyate--kriyate /
