The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. Haradatta’s Anākulā-vṛtti (sūtra 8.10)
apararātro rātrestṛtīyo bhāgaḥ uttarābhyā mudīrṣvāta ityetābhyām /atra prāptasya nidhānasya vidhānaṃ punastasmin śayane daṇḍasya nidhānaṃ mā bhūditi //9//
uttarāḥ sapta pradhānāhutīrjuhoti-'agne prāyaścitte'ityevamādyāḥ /
tatrāditaścaturṣu mantreṣu'tvaṃ devānāṃ prāyaścitti'rityayamanuṣaṅgaḥ /
uttare mantrāstrayaḥ /
ājyabhāga ityanvārambhakālopadeśaḥ /
jayādi pratipadyata iti ca tannivṛttiḥ //10//
tantraśeṣaṃ samāpya tataḥ tāmapareṇāgniṃ agneḥ paścāt prācīṃ prāṅmukhīṃ upaveśya yo huyasyājyasya śeṣaḥ tasmādavadāya darvyā tasyā vadhvā śśirasi vyāhṛtibhiroṅkāracaturthābhiḥ svāhākārāntābhiḥ pratimantramānayati /
tataḥ uttarāmyāmṛgbhyāṃ'apaśyaṃ tve'tyetābhyāṃ yathāliṅgaṃ mithaḥ anyo'nyaṃ yugapat samīkṣet, pūrvayā vadhūḥ uttarayā varaḥ /
tato vara uttarayarcā'samañjantvi'tyetayā vadhūvarayorubhayorhṛdayadeśau samanakti tenaivājyaśeṣeṇa sakṛt gṛhītenājyena sakṛdeva mantre coktvā /
tataḥ
uttarāstistro japati'prajāpate tanva'mityādyāḥ /
tataḥ śeṣa manuvākaśeṣaṃ'ārohoru'mityādi samāveśane samāgamanakāle japet /
samāveśanaṃ ca tasminnevāpararātre niyamena bhavati /
idameva samāveśanaṃ mantravat nānyāni /
pariṣecanāntavacanamānantaryārtham /
pariṣecanānte etadova karma yathā syāt /
tena bhojanaṃ prāgeva bhavati //11//

caturthyā apararātre iti vivṛtyārthapāṭhaḥ /caturthyā rātreḥcaturthasyāhorātrasyāpararātre rātreraparatra tṛtīyabhāge taṃ daṇḍaṃ uttarābhyāṃ 'udīrṣvāta'ityetābhyāṃ utthāpyādbhiḥ prakṣālya śayanādanyatra nidāyāgnerupasamādhānādi tantraṃ pratipadyate /
ājyabhāgānte kṛte vadhvamanvārabdhāyāṃ uttarāḥ'agne prāyaścitte'ityādyāssaptāhutīrjuhoti /
tatra dvitīyatṛtīyayorapi'tvaṃ devānāṃ'ityādyanuṣaṅgaḥ /
tato'nvārambhavarja jayādau praṇītā mocanānte kṛte apareṇāgniṃ vadhūṃ prācīṃ prāṅmukhīmupaveśya hutaśeṣādājyamādāya tasyāśśirasi vyāhṛtibhi roṅkāracaturthābhisvāhākārāntābhissarveṣāmante sakṛdānayati /
kecit-pratimantramiti /
athottarābhyāṃ'apaśyaṃ tvā manasā'ityetābhyāṃ yathāliṅgaṃ , pūrvayā vadhū ruttarayā varaḥ, mithaḥ anyayonyaṃ yugapat samīkṣya uttarayā'samañjantu' ityetayā ājyaśeṣeṇa hṛdayadeśau yugapadaṅguṣṭhavisaṃrasinībhyāṃ samanakti,'samāpo hṛdayāni nau'iti dvivacanaliṅgāt /
atha uttarāstisraḥ' prajāpate tanvaṃ me'ityādyā japitvā śeṣamanuvākaśeṣaṃ'ārohorum'ityādikaṃ samāveśane samāveśanakāle japet /
samāveśanaṃ ca vadhvā saha maithunārtha śayanam,'ṛtusamāveśane'(āpa.gṛ.8-13) ityutuliṅgāt /
etacca rāgaprāptasamāveśanāśritaṃ vivāhakarmārtha kramajapayorvidānam, yathā bhojanaparyāyavratāśritaṃ payaādividhānam /
kecit- asatyapi rāge karmārthamasmin krame samaviśanaṃ niyatameveti /
samāveśanāntareṣu tu akarmārthatvādeva nāyaṃ japaḥ /
baudhāyanena tu vikalpo'bhihitaḥ (bau.gṛ.2-7-12) iti /
asminneva krame yadi daivādṛtugamanamapi kartavyaṃ syāt tadā pūrva'ārohorum'ityādijapaḥ /
