The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. Haradatta’s Anākulā-vṛtti (sūtra 7.25)

pārvaṇenātonyānītyayaṃ kalpātideśaḥ ityuktam /
tena pārvaṇe ye devate yasca sthālīpākaḥ teṣāṃ sarveṣu karmasu pravṛttiḥ /
tatra tatrepadiṣṭābhistu devatābhiḥ pārvaṇadevatayoḥ bādhe prāpte tannivṛttyartha vacanaṃ tatra coditānāṃ devatānāṃ deśavidhānārthañca-yo'yamagniḥ pārvaṇoyaśca sviṣṭakṛt, tāvantareṇa tayormadhye devatā yaṣṭavyā iti /
tatra pārvaṇasyāgneḥ pārvaṇameva haviḥ tatra tatra vihitānāṃ tatra tatra vihitam /

sviṣṭakṛtastu sarvohaviśśeṣaḥ, anyatra tathā darśanāt /
anye tu tatra vihitādeva haviṣaḥ pārvaṇadevatayorapījyāmicchanti /

apara īha- nātra pārdevate anūrdyate agniśca sviṣṭakṛcca /
kiṃ tarhi ?āgantuke ete anenaiva vacanena vidhīyete /
tatra haviṣo'nupadiṣṭatvāt

agnerājyaṃ haviḥ /
sviṣṭakṛtastu sarvo haviśśeṣa iti /
sarvathā sarveṣveva pārvaṇātidiṣṭeṣvagniḥ pūrva yaṣṭavyaḥ /
tathā ca śrauteṣu'yena yajñenetrset kuryādeva tatrāgneyamiti /
yathā bhāṣyaṃ vyākhyāyate /
pārvaṇavyākhyāteṣu sarveṣveva karmasu yathopadeśaṃ devatā yajati agniṃ sviṣṭakṛtaṃ ca yajati yoyamagnisviṣṭakṛt pārvaṇe dvitīyo devatāviśeṣaḥ taṃ ca yajati tasmādeva haviṣaḥ /
yattatra tatropadiṣṭānāṃ haviriti /
tatra yathopadeśaṃ devatā ityanuvādaḥ sviṣṭakṛtassamuccayavidhānārthaḥ /
asati samuccaye teṣu tasya pravṛttirna syāt /
tatra tatropadiṣṭabhirdevatābhirnivartitatvāt /
agneriva sviṣṭakṛto'pi pradhānadevatāccoditatvāt-'agnisviṣṭakṛdvitīya iti /
antareṇa ityanena tu tasyaiva sviṣṭakṛto deśo niyamyate-pradhānāhutīṣṭopahomāṃścāntaraṇogniṃ sviṣṭakṛtaṃ yajatīti /
tenayatrāpyuttarā āhutīrhutvā jayādi pratipadyate,'ājyāhutīruttarāḥ jayādu pratipadyata'iti ca kramaparaṃ vacanaṃ tatrāpi nityamagnisviṣṭakṛdasminnantarāle yaṣṭavyo bhavatīti /
prakaraṇācca pradhānāhutīrupahomāścāntareṇetyartho'pi labhyate //

Sudarśana’s Gṛhyatātparyadarśana-vyākhyā (sūtra 7.25)

atrāsvapado vigrahaḥ, avyayībhāvasamāsatvāt /
adhyāhāraśca, sākāṅkṣatvāt /
yathopadeśaṃ sarpavalyādiṣu yāśca yāvatyaśca yena yena prakāreṇa mantravidhānādinopadṣṭāṃ devatāstā eva bhavanti, na pārvaṇadevatāḥ na teṣu pārvaṇaṃ pradhānaṃ samuccetavyā ityarthaḥ /

nanu vikṛtāvupakāramukhena tajjanakānāṃ dharmāṇāmatideśa-, pradhānaṃ copakārya, nopakārajanakam /
pārvaṇe ca sthālīpākahomayoḥ prathamo homaḥ pradhānam /
atastasyātideśa eva nāsti /
dūre tatsamuccayāśaṅkā, yannirāsāyedaṃ sūtraṃ syāt /
'ṣaḍbhirdīkṣayati'(tai.saṃ.5-1-9) ityatra tuprākṛtīnāṃ dīkṣāhutīnāṃ aṅgatvādatideśaḥ, adṛṣṭārthatvācca samuccayaḥ, yathopadiṣṭānāṃ prakṛtikḷptakramabādhabhayādante niveśaśca yukta eva /

satyamevam;kintu gārhyakarmānuṣṭhātṝṇāṃ madhye ye mandabuddhayo'ṅgapradhānayoratideśyānatideśyayośca anabhijñāste pārvaṇenetya viśeṣeṇātideśaprātibhāsāt'ṣaḍibhirdīkṣayati, ityādau darśanamātrācca pradhānātideśatatsamuccayāvupadiṣṭapradhānānāmante niveśaṃ ca manyante /

tannirāsāyedaṃ sūtram //24//


atha vaikṛtapradhānahomānāṃ sthānamarthādagnimukhasauviṣṭakṛtayośca vidadhāti--

'yathopadeśaṃ devatāḥ'(āpa.gṛ.7-24) ityanuvartate /
yathopadeśaṃ devatāḥ ye vikṛtāvupadiṣṭāḥ te agniṃ sviṣṭakṛtaṃ cāntareṇa āgneya sauviṣṭakṛtayorhomayormadhye bhaveyuḥ /
atra ca sviṣṭakṛtamitivadagnimityapi siddhānuvādāt, anyataśca prāptyabhāvāt, yogavibhāge- nāgnimuddiśya juhuyādityanyo'pyartho vidhīyate /
vibhaktasya sūtrasya cāyaṃ vivakṣitor'thaḥ- sarveṣu tantravatsvauṣadhahomeṣu dadhihomeṣu cepakaraṇasamāpanayośca śiṣṭācārā'dagnaye svāhe'tyājyena agnimukhākhyamaṅgahomaṃ sarvebhyo'pi pradhānahomebhyaḥ pūrva juhuyāditi /

nanvatra'sviṣṭakṛta'miti vyartham ;sarvatra sviṣṭakṛtaśśeṣapratipattyarthatvāt svata evāsāvante eva bhavatīti /
naivam-vikṛtiṣu dvividhāḥ pradhānahomāḥ-pārvaṇavikārā apūrvāśca;teṣāmubhayoṣāmapyanta eva sviṣṭakṛdyathā syādityevamarthatvāt /
anyathā yaddhomāṅgaṃ sviṣṭakṛttadanta eva syāt /
tathāgnimiti cobhayebhyaḥ pradhānāhutibhiyaḥ pūrvamevāgnimukhamityevamartha sviṣṭakṛdvanniyama iti //


kecit-'yathopadeśaṃ devatā agniṃ sviṣṭakṛtaṃ ca'ityevamantamekaṃ sūtram /
tasyārthaḥ-'agnissviṣṭakṛt dvitīyaḥ'(āpa.gṛ.7-70 ityatra sviṣṭakṛtaḥ pradhānahomatulyadharmatvajñāpanāt vikṛtiṣu ca pārvaṇapradhānalope sati tasyāpi lopassyāt, sa mā bhūdityanena sūtreṇa'yathāpadeśaṃ devatāḥ'ityanūdya, agniṃ sviṣṭakṛtaṃ ca kuryāt iti tāsu tasya samuccayo vidhīyate /
tathā'antareṇa'iti padamekaṃ sūtraṃ'antarā tvāṣṭreṇa'; ityādivat /
prakaraṇādvaikṛtapradhānahomānāṃ jayādīnāṃ ca madhye sarvāsvapi vikṛtiṣu sviṣṭakṛnnitya evetyarthaḥ /
itarathā kvacittasya lepaḥ syāt,'sthālīpākāduttarā āhutīrhutvā jayādi pratipadyate'(āpa.gṛ.9-4) ityādi parisaṅkhyeti kṛtveti /

tanna,-vibhāge sākāṅkṣayordvitīyāntayoḥ'agniṃ sviṣṭakṛtaṃ, ityetayoḥ antareṇetyanena sambandhākāṅkṣeṇa ekavākyatve sambhavati vākyabhedasyāyuktatvāt,'agnissviṣṭakṛddvitīyaḥ'ityasya prayojanāntaraparatvācca /
tathāpi yadi sviṣṭakṛtaḥ pradhānatulyadharmakatvaṃ, tadā tallope'pi pradhānalopaprāyaścittamevāpadyate /
tathā'antareṇa'ityasya yathoktaśrutasambandhanyanvayasambhave aprakṛtagamyamānānvayo na yuktaḥ /
vyartha caitat;svamate sviṣṭakṛtassamuccayavidhānādeva tridoṣāyāḥ parisaṅkhyāyā api nirastatvāt, tasya sarvatra nityatvenālopasiddheḥ //25//
