The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. Haradatta’s Anākulā-vṛtti (sūtra 7.17)

ataḥ sthālīpākā dūrdhva dakṣiṇāṃ varjayitvā upoṣitābhyāṃ 'parvasu cobhayorupavāsa,(āpa.dha.2-1-4) ityanena prakāreṇa kṛtopavāsābhyāṃ gṛhamedhibhyāṃ parvasu paurṇamāsīṣu cāmāvāsyāsu ca evamevāgneyasthālīpākakalpena sthālīpākaḥ kāryaḥ /

kalpātideśo'yam-parvasu sthālīpākaḥ kāryaḥ, tasya ca"āgneyena sthālīpākena yājayatī"tyevamādiḥ tasmā ṛṣabhaṃ dadātī'tyevamanātaḥ kalpa ityarthaḥ /
atropoṣitābhyā'miti dvivacananirdeśādubhāvapyadhikāriṇau tatra tu patnyeva /
dakṣiṇā ceha nāstītyetāvān viśeṣaḥ /
tatra pārvaṇe vivāhanimittā viśeṣāḥ sakṛtpātrāṇi śamyā ityādayo na kartavyāḥ /
anvārambho'pi na kartavyaḥ, yajamānakarmatvāt /
atra cobhayoryajamānatvāt /
astu tarhyanyo yājayitā, anvārambhaścobhayoḥ /
tadapi na, jñāpakāt /
yadayaṃ hṛdayasaṃsargānvārambhaṃ vidadhāti tat

jñāpayati na pārvaṇādiṣvanvārambho bhavatīti /
anyathā pārvaṇātideśādevānvārambhaḥ siddhassyāt /
pāṇigrahaṇādadhi gṛhamedhinorvratam'ityādau sāṅgaṃ vivādṛkarma vivakṣitam /
tena saṃveśanānte vivāhikarmaṇi niṣṭhite pañcamahāyajñādīnāṃ gṛhasthadharmāṇāṃ pravṛttiḥ /
pārvaṇasthatvasya prāgapi saṃveśanāt syāt /
pākādūrdhva parvaprāptau pravṛtetirbhavati /
tadarthamāha- ata ūrdhvamiti /
tasya ca paurṇamāsyāmupakramo nāmāvāsyāyām /

śrautayostathā darśanāt /
tatsthānāpannatvāccānayoḥ /
chandogāścāmananti -amāvāsyā cet pūrvamāpadyate paurṇamāseneṣṭvātha tat kuryāt /
akṛtvā paurṇamāsīmākāṅkṣodityeke'(khā.ga.2-1-2) iti /
'parvasu cobhayorupavāsa'ityeva siddhe upoṣitābhyāmiti vacanamasmin karmaṇi

ubhayoravyādhikārapradarśanārtham /
evamapyubhābhyāmityeva vaktavyaṃ nopoṣitābhyāmiti /
tasmāt parvasu cobhayorupavāsa iti prāptamupavāsaṃ prakṛtyaṃśenānūdya dvivacanena dvayoradhikāraḥ pradarśyate -upoṣitābhyāmiti /
tena yajanīye'hanyeva sthālīpākassiddho bhavati /
pañcadaśyāṃ pūrvedyuḥ karma /
tathā cāśvalāyanaḥ"atha pārvaṇasthālīpākaḥ /
tasya darśapūrṇamāsābhyāmupavāsaḥ /
idhmābarhiṣośca sannahana"(āśva.gṛ 1-10-1,2,3)

Sudarśana’s Gṛhyatātparyadarśana-vyākhyā (sūtra 7.17)

ataḥ sthālīpākā dūrdhva upoṣitābhyāṃ'parvasu cobhayorupavāsaḥ'(āpa.dha.2-1-4) ityādividhinā kṛtopavāsābhyāṃ jāyāpatibhyāṃ parvasu paurṇamāsīṣvamāvāsyāsu ca dvitīyāsu dakṣiṇāvarja ṛṣabhadānavarja evame vaṃprakāra etatsthālīpākasadṛśo homaḥ kartavya iti vidhiḥ /

dharmaśāstre tu'śvobhūte sthālīpāka'(āpa.dha.2-1-10) ityupavāsādidharmasambandhārtho'nuvādaḥ /
sādṛśyaṃ cātra dravyadevatādisamastadharmanibandhanam /
yathā'etasyaiva revatīṣu'(tāṇḍya.brā.17-8-1) iti, yathā vā'māsamagnihotraṃ juhoti'iti /
tatra tu'etasya''agnihotram'iti padābhyāṃ, iha tu evaṃpadeneti bhedaḥ /
nanu-darvīhomeṣvatideśo nāsti, apūrvatvātteṣām /
satyam, nāsti codanāliṅgāt, vacanāttvatideśaḥ kena vāryate ?

kecit-nāyaṃ dharmātideśaḥ, sauryādiṣviva havirdaaivatasyānupadeśāt /
ataḥ kalpātideśa eva;'śvobhūte'nvaṣṭakāṃ, tasyā māsiśrāddhena kalpo vyākhyātaḥ'itivaditi /
naitat /
havirdaaivatasyānupadeśe'pi māsamagnihotraṃ juhoti'ityādiṣu dharmātideśasya dṛṣṭatvāt //


apare tu-ekasya tūbhayatve saṃyogapṛthaktvam (jai.sū.4-3-5) iti nyāyena prakṛtasyaiva sthālīpākasya'evaṃ parvasu kāryaḥ'; ityādhikārāntasambandhavidhiriti /
etadapi na;evaṃ sati'eṣa kārya'iti sūtraṃ syāt,'natvevaṃ kārya iti /
kiñci parvasvanvārambho'pi syāt; yatassamastadharmakasyaiva prakṛtakarmaṇo'dhikārāntaravidhyupagamaḥ /
dharmātideśe tu yathā nānvārambhastathoktameva'athaināmāgneyema'iti sūtramatideśaviśeṣārthamiti vadatā bhāṣyakāreṇa /

atra ca'ata ūrdhvam'iti vacanaṃ vivāhamadhye'pi parvārambhārtham /
yadyaṣyata ūrdhvamityaviśeṣavacanaṃ, tathāpi paurṇamāsyāmevārambhaḥ /

kālaikyena prayojanaikyāt, sthānāpattyā ca syāmevārambhadarśanāt /
vyaktaṃ caitacchandogānām /
'amāvāsyā cet pūrvamāpadyeta paurṇamāseneṣṭvātha tatkuryāt, akurvan paurṇamāsīmākāṅkṣedityeka'iti /
tasmātsāthālīpākānantaraṃ paurṇamāsī cet pūrvamāgacchet,tadā vivāhamadhye'pi parvārambhaḥ /
māsiśrāddhasya tvārambhaścaturthāhomānte aparapakṣe;siṣṭācārāt, bodhāyanavacanāt, karmamadhye karmāntarārambhasyāyuktatvācca /
tathā vaiśvadevasyāpi,'teṣāṃ mantrāṇāmupayoge dvādaśāhamadhaśśayyā'(āpa.dha.2-3-13) ityādivrataṃ sapatnīkaścāritvā praśaste'hanyārabhbhaḥ //17//
