The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. nānā bījāni saṃsṛṣṭāni vedyāḥ pāṃsūn kṣetrālloṣṭaṃ śakṛcchmaśānaloṣṭamiti // ĀpGs_3.16 //

'lakṣaṇasampannāmupayacchete'ti vakṣyati /tatra lakṣaṇānāmajñātatvāt tatparīkṣaṇopāya upadiśyate /
nacāyaṃ nityo vidhiḥ;'saktiviṣaya'iti vacanāt /
śakti ssāmarthya yadi samphavaḥ /
yadi vadhūjñātayo'numanyeran tadā kartavyaṃ nānyathetyarthaḥ /
tat kathaṃ kartavyam?ucyate-dravyāṇi pañcavakṣyamāṇāni mṛtpiṇḍeṣu praticchannāni kṛtvā upanidhāya kanyāsamīpe nidhāya tāṃ brūyādvaraḥ- eṣāṃ piṇḍānāṃ ekatamupaspṛśeti /
kāni punastāni dravyāṇi?nānābījāni saṃsṛṣṭāni vrīhiyavādīni /
vedyāḥ pāṃsūnāhṛtān, sasyasampannāt kṣetrādāhṛtaṃ loṣṭaṃ, sakṛt gomayaṃ, śmaśānādāhṛtaṃ loṣṭamityetāni /
bījānāṃ dravyatvāvyabhicāre'ri dravyāṇītyucyate-śāstrāntare dṛṣṭānāmanyeṣāmapi dravyāṇāmiha vikalpena prāptyartha tadyathā-avidāsinohadāt sarvasampannā devanāt kitavī iriṇādadhanyeti(āśva.gṛ.1-5-6) //13//

śaktissamarthyam /viṣaye 'vakāśaḥ /
asyāmṛddhiparīkṣāyāṃ varatatpakṣiṇāṃ sāmarthyasyāvakāśe sambhavati, yadi kanyā ca tadīyāścemāṃ parīkṣāmabhyupagaccheyurityarthaḥ /
yata evātra śaktiviṣaya ityāha, ata evaiṣā ṛddhiparīkṣā jyotiṣādibhirvaikalpikī, na tu nityavadvivāhāṅgam /
dravyāṇi vakṣyamāṇāni mṛtpiṇḍeṣu ca praticchannānyekasmin bhājane nidhāya kanyāṃ samīpe ca kṛtvā, tāṃ brūyādeṣāṃ piṇḍānāmekamupaspṛśeti // 15 //
kāni tānītyata āha--
