The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. Haradatta’s Anākulā-vṛtti (sūtra 2.11)

tatra teṣu pākayajñeṣvaparo vidhirbrahmaṇāvekṣa ityācakṣate /
brāhmaṇamātmani pramāṇatvenāvekṣata iti brāhmaṇāvekṣaḥ brāhmaṇadṛṣṭa ityarthaḥ /
vidhiḥ prayogaḥ, pragukta āghāravān darśapūrṇamāsaprakṛtiḥ /
ayaṃ tvagnihotra prakṛtiḥ brāhmaṇāvekṣaḥ /
ubhayorvikalpastatretyucyate-yeṣu pākayajñeṣu āghāravatastantrasya pravṛttiḥ tatrāvāsya vikalpena prāptiriti darśanārtham /
tena paṇyahomādiṣu asya vidherapravṛttiḥ /

tatra' dvirjuhotī'tyanena agnihotrāhutyorubhayordhamaḥ pākayajñeṣu pradhānāhutiṃ sviṣṭakṛtaṃ cādhikṛtya vihito veditavyaḥ /
' dvirnimārṣṭī' ti cāgnihotravallepanimārjanam /
' dviḥ prāśnātī'tyuṅguliprāśanam /
' utsṛpyācāmatī' ti ca yattatratṛtīyaṃ prāśanaṃ barhiṣopayamyodaṅṅāvṛtyotsṛpyācāmatīti taccoditam /
nirleḍhīti yattatra'dviḥsrucaṃ nirlehya, iti ca taccoditam /
yāvatā ca vidhānena homādisaṃsiddhistāvadamantravadagnihotrādeva pratyetavyam /
tadyathā-sruveṇonnayanaṃ, pālāśīsamidāhutidhāraṇārthā, caturgṛhītaṃ pañcagṛhītaṃ iti /
tatra prayogaḥ agnimidhvā parisamūhya, paristīrya, paryukṣya,ājyahomeṣvājyaṃ saṃskṛtya, pakvahomeṣu sthālīpākaṃ sruksruvaṃ saṃmṛjya yāvatpradhānāhuti caturgṛhītāni pañcagṛhītāni samavadyati /
yatrobhayaṃ havistatra tasyobhayasya, yathāmāsiśrāddhe /
tataḥ paścādagnerbarhiṣyupasādya pālāśīṃ samidhamādhāya sarvāneva mantrān samanudrutya sakṛdeva pradhānāhutīrhutvā prātaragnihotravallepamapamṛjya barhiṣi nimārṣṭi yadyahani karma /
atha rātrau sāyamagnihotravat /
tatassauviṣṭakṛtīṃ dvitīyāmāhutiṃ uttarāhutivajjuhoti-agnaye sviṣṭakṛte svāheti sthālīpākeṣu /
'yadasya karmaṇa'; ityājyahomeṣu /
iśānayajñe tu karma tatra coditena mantreṇa /
tataḥ pūrvavallepamavamṛjya prācīnāvītī dakṣiṇato bhūmau nmārṣṭi /
tataḥ srucaṃ sādayitvā aṅguliprāśanādinirlepanāntamagnihotravat /
tato darbhaiḥ sukprakṣālanaṃ, tataḥ parisamūhanaparyukṣaṇe /
etadāgnihotrikaṃ nāma tantraṃ sarvapākayajñeṣu āghāravatā tantreṇa saha vikalpyate //11//

Sudarśana’s Gṛhyatātparyadarśana-vyākhyā (sūtra 2.11)

tatra teṣu pākayajñeṣu madhye pārvaṇādiṣu pañcasu brāhmaṇāvekṣo vidhirbhavati /
yo vidhiḥ pratyakṣameva brāhmaṇamavekṣate, nāgnimiddhvetyādivallokācārānumeyam, so'pyeṣu vikalpena bhavatītyartha- /
nānayorvidhyormitha- saṃsargaḥ /
nāpi smārtasyānena bādhaḥ /

pratyakṣabrāhmaṇasyāpi smṛtyanuvāde kalpasūtrādhikāraṇanyāyena smṛtitulyapramāṇatvāt /
ata eva'sarva pāpmānaṃ tarati, tarati brahmahatyāṃ yo'śvamedhena yajate'(tai.saṃ.5-3-12) iti śrutyā'yajeta vāśvamedhena'(manu11-74) iti manusmṛtyanuvādenaca aśvamedhadvādaśavārṣikayorvikalpaḥ /
baudhāyanīye ca vyākto'yamarthaḥ /
tatrodāharanti--

ādhāraṃ prakṛtiṃ prāha darvīhomasya bādariḥ /

agnihotraṃ tathā'treyaḥ kāśakṛtsnastvapūrvatām //
iti (bau.gṛ.1-4-44) tāṃ na mithaḥ saṃsādayedanādeśāt'; (bau.gṛ.1-5-1) iti /

homamantrādayastu vidhyantarīyā arthādācārāccehāpi bhavanti /
yadyasyāpi smṛtitulyameva prāmāṇyaṃ, kimartha'brāhmaṇāvekṣaḥ'iti ? /

uktottaramevaitat /
āgnihotrikavidhaubhreṣe'yadi yajuṣṭa'(ai.brā.25-34) iti śrautaṃ prāyaścittam /
na tu smārtanāśe'yadyavijñātā sarvavyāpadvā'; (ai.brā.25-34.) iti //10//


sarve pradhānahomāḥ pradhānahomatvasāmānyādeko homa ityabhipretya sviṣṭakṛdapekṣayā śrutiḥ dvirjuhotītyāha, na punardvireva juhotīti /
'saptadaśa prājāpatyān'(tai.brā.1-3-4) itivadiha sampratipannadevataikatvābhāvāt /

kecit-yāvantaḥ pradhānahomāstāvanti caturgṛhītāni sruci sahāvadāya homamantrān sarvānanudrutya sakṛdeva juhvati /
dvirnimārṣṭityādi vyaktārtham //
prayogastu- na paristaraṇadarvīsaṃskāropastaraṇādīni, atrānupadeśāt /
carupākastvarthādvidyata eva /
tena caruṇā pradhānāhutisviṣṭakṛtprāśanabhakṣaṇebhyaḥ paryāptena darvīṃ pūrayitvāparṇāgniṃ darbheṣu sādayitvā'dāya tattanmantraiḥ sarvāḥ pradhānāhutīḥ ktameṇa hutvā darvyāstato lepamādāya darbhairnimṛjya śeṣātsviṣṭakṛte hutvā prācīnāvītī punarlepamādāyadakṣiṇato bhūmyāṃ nimṛjyāya upasmṛśya yajñopavītī darvyā lepa maṅgulyā'dāya prāśya śuddhyarthamācamya punarapyevaṃ kṛtvā udaṅṅāvatyotsṛpya darvyā haviśśeṣaṃ sarva bhakṣayitvā tāṃ nirlehyācamya tāṃ darbhairadbhiḥ prakṣalayediti /

nanu-vaiśvadevaupāsanahomayoḥ kasmānnāyaṃ vidhiḥ ?ucyate /
tatra'ubhayataḥ pariṣecanam'(āpa.gṛ.7-22)iti ekakāryayoḥ dvayorapi vidhyoḥ parisaṅkhyānāt ata eva barhirlepapratipattyorabhāvācca //


kecit-pākayajña ityatra pākaśabdasyālpavācakatvāt vivāhādayo'pi somādyapekṣayā pākayajña iti teṣvapyayaṃ vidhiriti /
tanna;teṣāṃ manuṣyasaṃskārārthatvena aprādhānyāt pradhānavāciyajñaśabdavācyatvānupapatteḥ //11//


ekāgnividhikāṇḍe vivāhamantrāṇāṃ pūrvamāmnānāt vivāhameva pūrva vyākhyāsyan tasyodagayanādiniyamāpavādena kālamāha--
