This is a photograph of the Light House found at the complex site of the Vihara. In Sanskrit this would be known as dīpamandira (दीप-मन्दिर, dipa-mandira).

කාරුණික දැනුම් දීමයි
ඔබ රැගෙන එන පොල්තෙල් භාජන කිසිවක්
මෙහි තබා යෑමෙන් වළකින්න
මෙම පහන් මන්දිරය පිරිසිදුව තබා ගැනිම
පින්වත් ඔබ සතු යුතුකමක් වේ.

pinvat oba sæmaṭa kerena
kāruṇika dænum dīmayi
oba rægena ena poltel bhājana kisivak
mehi tabā yǣmen vaḷakinna
mema pahan mandiraya pirisiduva tabā gænima
pinvat oba satu yutukamak vē.

These photos were taken at the Tissamaharama Raja Maha Vihara situated in Sri Lanka, which includes a large Stupa that can be seen from afar. The whole complex is an ancient Buddhist temple which can be dated to the 3rd century BC. According to Theravada traditions, the site was visited by the historical Buddha who meditated at the Tissamaharama Stupa together with 500 Arhats (one who has achieved spiritual enlightenment).
