Sangbur (साङ्बुर) refers to a “copper pot to burn incense”. It is a Nepali word which can also be transliterated as Sāṅgbur, Sāṅbur, Sāṅgbura, Sāṅbura, Sangbura, Sanbur or Sanbura.

The text in Devanagari reads:

साङ्बुर - धुप बाल्न प्रयोग गर्ने तामाको भांडो/भाण्डो

Transliteration (IAST):

sāṅbura - dhupa bālna prayoga garne tāmāko bhāṃḍo/bhāṇḍo.

Plain text (initially IAST, brackets indicate Hunterian):

sanbura [sangbur] - ... [dhup] balna ... [prayog] ... tamako bhamdo/bhando.

Gallery information:

The Sherpa people refers to one of the indigenous ethnic group from Nepal (the Himalayan regions) who migrated out of Tibet as early as the 13th century. Their religion is Tibetan Buddhism (particularly Nyingma) and they worship mountains as Gods pr protector deities. Sherpas speak Sino-Tibetan which represents a dialect of Tibetan.
