After the Ardhanarisvara Sannidhi we arrive at the Brahma Sannidhi. Not a well maintained sculpture. He is standing in Samabhanga posture.. Brahma the creator is standing erect with his feet in Samapada, facing the front. This is called Brahma Sthana. His main right hand is in Abhaya Hasta and the second right hand is holding Aksamalai.His main left hand is in Uru Hasta i.e. Ardhacandra on the hips and his second left hand is holding Kamandalu or Gindi. The two upper right and left hands seem to be in Kartarimukha Hasta or Prayoga Mudra.

Kumbakonam is considered as one of the holiest places in Tamil Nadu and is known for its temples and Mathas (monasteries which were centres of Brahmanical learning). These photographs depict the connection between the sculptures in the temples and Natya Shastra and related texts dealing with iconography.
