This dancing figure is again a little damaged. Clarity is a little less. Right Pada is placed in front of the left and seems to be lifted. The kees are bent in Ardhakuncita, left Kati is in Udvahita, Parsva is in Unnata on the left and Nata on right and the Siras is also bent to the left in Ancita. Seeing the position of the waist and the lift of the leg the dancer seems to be performing the Adhyardhika Cari–“The left foot is placed on the back of the right heel, the later to be drawn away a Tala and half

apart.” Here the left hand is in Lata and the right hand is placed near the chest but

Hasta is not clear. We cannot identify any Karana.

These photographs depict the connection between the sculptures in the temples and Natya Shastra and related texts dealing with iconography.
