This beautiful figure is again standing in front Svastika. Siras is bent slightly to right in Ancita and Avadhuta. Right side Kati is in Udvahita, Parsva is Samunnata on left and Nata on the right. Right leg is straight and unbent, right foot is in Sama facing inward, Left leg is bent in front Svastika, left Jangha is in Nata, left Pada is in Agratalasancara. Right hand is in Lata Hasta and left hand is raised in Musti and is holding a Garland.

This figure does not specify any Cari or Karana but it gives the impression of just a posture assumed by the dancer which is both attractive and seductive. Her eyes which are bent down adds to the beauty of the sculpture.

Kumbakonam is considered as one of the holiest places in Tamil Nadu and is known for its temples and Mathas (monasteries which were centres of Brahmanical learning). These photographs depict the connection between the sculptures in the temples and Natya Shastra and related texts dealing with iconography.
