Description of the photo

This dancing figure is in Alidha Sthana -the right leg is bent and the left is stretched at a distance of five Talas. The hands are lifted to head level, seems to be performing Recita Hasta. The Siras is in Ancita and is bent to the left, Urah [uras] is in Udvahita, Parsva is in Samunnata on right and Nata on left, Kati is in Udvahita on the left, right leg is bent in Ardhakkuncitam [Ardhakkuncita] and the right Pada is in Tryasra. Left leg is stretched out. Left Janu is in Sama, left Pada is also in Sama but turned in Parsva. Left Jangha is in Nata and Ksipta.The left leg seems ready to perform Nupurapadika Cari with Recita and then the leg can be thrown out.

Fits into the description of DandakarecitaKarana no. 41 according to whose description, “First Nupurapadika Cari is done. Then hands and feet are thrown in all directions like a Danda using the Dandapada Cari and Recita hands.”
