Bampudke Bandel (बामपुड्के बंदेल) in Nepali refers to the animal Pygmy Hog (Porcula salvania, from the Porcula genus and Suidae family). It is is mentioned as one of the “Protected animals of Nepal”.

The word Bampudke can also be transliterated as Bamapudke, Bāmpuḍke or Bāmapuḍke.

The word Bandel can also be transliterated as Baṃdel, Bamdel, Badel, Bandela, Bamdela, Bamdela or Badela.
