Loth Salla (लोठ सल्ला) in Nepali refers to the plant Taxus wallichiana or “Himalayan Marsh Orchid” from the Taxaceae or “yew family”. It is is mentioned as one of the “Protected plants of Nepal”. The photo also depicts the twig (हांगा, hanga/hāṃgā) and seed (विउ, viu).
The word Loth can also be transliterated as Loṭh, Loṭha or Lotha.
The word Salla can also be transliterated Sallā.
