This bronze sculpture shows a detail of the top of a Panas (पानस, pānasa): a hand-crafted artistic oil lamp usually made of brass metal. It is also a ritual object commonly used by both Hindu and Buddhist people in various important religious and cultural rituals to create an ambience of energy and positivity.
