This bronze sculpture shows an image of Shakyamuni Buddha, from the 19-20th century A.D.—This image of Buddha belongs to the Earth Touching Pose. This form of image is most popular in Nepal. Here the right hand of Buddha is shown touching the earth while the left hand is holding an Alms Bowl. Tibetan influence is seen in the hair style of the image.
