Mohe Zhiguan (止觀 [zhi guan]) Volume 4 states: "One who contemplates the emptiness of the nature of defilement (空 [kong]) fully comprehends that the minds of greed (貪欲 [tan yu]) and hatred (瞋恚 [chen hui]) are all gates to tranquility (寂靜門 [ji jing men])."
