支嘴兒 [zhī zuǐ ér] [zhi zui er]—
To not lift a finger oneself, but merely offer ideas or instruct others to do things. From the 33rd chapter of Er Nü Ying Xiong Zhuan (兒女英雄傳 [er nu ying xiong chuan], The Gallant Maid): "The old couple only offered ideas and directed them with their mouths (出主意兒 [chu zhu yi er], 支個嘴兒 [zhi ge zui er])."
支嘴兒:自己不動手,而僅用言語出主意或支使別人做事。《兒女英雄傳》第三三回:「我老夫妻只替他們出個主意兒,支個嘴兒。」
zhī zuǐ ér: zì jǐ bù dòng shǒu, ér jǐn yòng yán yǔ chū zhǔ yì huò zhī shǐ bié rén zuò shì. < ér nǚ yīng xióng chuán> dì sān sān huí: “wǒ lǎo fū qī zhǐ tì tā men chū gè zhǔ yì ér, zhī gè zuǐ ér.”
zhi zui er: zi ji bu dong shou, er jin yong yan yu chu zhu yi huo zhi shi bie ren zuo shi. < er nu ying xiong chuan> di san san hui: "wo lao fu qi zhi ti ta men chu ge zhu yi er, zhi ge zui er."
