Yugapatprasaṅga (युगपत्प्रसङ्ग).—Simultaneous possibility of the application of two rules or operations, when in grammar no option re : their application is admissible as it is admissible according to Mimamsa rules re : two operations enjoined by Vedic behests. In Grammar, only one of such rules applies, the priority of application being based upon the criteria of परत्व, नित्यत्व, अन्तरङ्गत्व (paratva, nityatva, antaraṅgatva) and अपवादत्व (apavādatva); cf. शब्दपरविप्रतिषेधो नाम भवति यत्रोभयोर्युगपत्प्रसङ्गः (śabdaparavipratiṣedho nāma bhavati yatrobhayoryugapatprasaṅgaḥ) | M.Bh. on VI. 1.158 Vart, 12.
