Enemies. From "Records of the Grand Historian, Volume 89, Biography of Zhang Er and Chen Yu": "Guan Gao's (貫高 [guan gao]) enemy knew of his plan and reported it. Consequently, the emperor ordered the arrest of the King of Zhao (趙王 [zhao wang]), Guan Gao (貫高 [guan gao]), and others." From "Baopuzi, Outer Chapters, Refuting Bao": "Bo Liu (伯柳 [bo liu]) reached out to his enemies (讎人 [chou ren]), and Jie Hu (解狐 [jie hu]) recommended his enemies."

1. Enemy. From the "Journey to the West," Chapter 9: "It was Guangrui's (光蕊 [guang rui]) fate to encounter this disaster in his previous life, running into this 'yuanjia'." From "The Scholars," Chapter 14: "I'll manage to scrape together twenty or thirty taels of silver to give him, and he can just treat it as something he found, and be rid of this 'yuanjia'."
2. An intimate term used between lovers. From Huang Tingjian's (黃庭堅 [huang ting jian]) "Day and Night Music – I Remember Your Words at Parting Late at Night": "But alas, my 'yuanjia' is unreliable, promising morning, yet bringing rain at dusk."
