域懷 [yu huai]—(Yù huái)—[Technical Term] `域 [yu] (Yù)` refers to a `限域 [xian yu] (xiànyù)` (limited domain). The expected scope or limit is called `(Yù huái)`. It is also called `域心 [yu xin] (Yù xīn)`. Volume 10 of the `Fahua Wenju Huiben (法華文句會本 [fa hua wen ju hui ben])` states: "Originally, with their `(Yù huái)`, they sought Buddhahood." The `同記 [tong ji] (Tóng jì)` (same commentary) states: "Regarding `(Yù huái)`, `域 [yu] (Yù)` refers to a `限域 [xian yu] (xiànyù)` (limited domain), and it is the scope of one's aspiring mind."
域懷—【術語】域者限域也,所期之分限云域懷。又云域心。法華文句會本十曰:「原其域懷求佛。」同記曰:「言域懷者,域謂限域,期心分齊。」
