欲河 [yu he]—River of Desire — [Metaphor (譬喻 [pi yu])] The affliction (煩惱 [fan nao]) of craving (貪欲 [tan yu]) causes people to drown, hence it is likened to a river. Siyi Sutra (思益經 [si yi jing]), Volume 1, states: "World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun]), who can cross the River of Desire?" The Buddha (佛 [fu]) said: "Those who can abandon the six sense-bases (六入 [liu ru])."

欲河—【譬喻】貪欲之煩惱,令人沈沒,故譬以河也。思益經一曰:「世尊誰度欲河?佛言:能捨六入者。」

The part of a bird's feather shaft that is embedded in the skin and contains air. From Wen Xuan (文選 [wen xuan]), Hai Fu (海賦 [hai fu]) by Mu Hua (木華 [mu hua]): "Wearing shoes left in the village hills, adorned with the flowing feathers (yǔhé)."

玉輅 [yù hé] [yu he]—
A chariot adorned with pearls and jade, often referring to the carriage used by the emperor. 《文選 [wen xuan].班固 [ban gu].東都賦 [dong dou fu]》 (Wen Xuan · Ban Gu · Dong Du Fu): "Ascend the (yù lù, jade chariot), ride the timely dragon." 北齊 [bei qi].顏之推 [yan zhi tui]《顏氏家訓 [yan shi jia xun].書證 [shu zheng]》(Bei Qi · Yan Zhitui · Yan Shi Jia Xun · Shu Zheng): "Liang horse, the emperor uses it to drive the (yù lù, jade chariot)." 遇合 [yù hé] [yu he]—
Those awaiting opportunity receive a chance to align. Records of the Grand Historian, Volume 125, Biography of Flatterers: "Diligent farming is not as good as meeting a good harvest year, and good service is not as good as encountering alignment." The Scholars, Chapter 13: "Alignment comes with time; there is no doubt you will be the top scholar in the next examination." Later, it also generally refers to all encounters and alignments (相遇投合 [xiang yu tou he]). Also written as "會合 [hui he]".
