一旋一咒 [yi xuan yi zhou]—One Circumambulation, One Mantra — [Buddhist Term (術語 [shu yu])] Within one circumambulation (一旋 [yi xuan]) around the Buddha, one completes the recitation of a dharani (陀羅尼 [tuo luo ni]).

Mohe Zhiguan (摩訶止觀 [mo he zhi guan]), Vol. 2, Part 1, explains [the practice of] half-walking and half-sitting in samadhi (三昧 [san mei]), quoting from the Mahavaipulya Dharani Sutra (大方等陀羅尼經 [da fang deng tuo luo ni jing]): "After performing obeisance, with a sincere heart, weeping sorrowfully and shedding tears, and after confessing and repenting of faults and transgressions, rise and circumambulate one hundred and twenty times. One circumambulation (一旋 [yi xuan]), one mantra (一咒 [yi zhou]), not slow, not fast, not high, not low [in voice]."

一旋一咒—【術語】在佛之周圍一旋之間,誦畢一次陀羅尼也。摩訶止觀第二上,明半行半,坐三昧中,引大方等陀羅尼經:「禮竟,以志誠心悲泣雨淚,陳悔罪咎竟,起旋百二十匝,一旋一咒,不遲不疾,不高不下。」

[shù yǔ] zài fú zhī zhōu wéi yī xuán zhī jiān, sòng bì yī cì tuó luó ní yě. mó hē zhǐ guān dì èr shàng, míng bàn xíng bàn, zuò sān mèi zhōng, yǐn dà fāng děng tuó luó ní jīng: “lǐ jìng, yǐ zhì chéng xīn bēi qì yǔ lèi, chén huǐ zuì jiù jìng, qǐ xuán bǎi èr shí zā, yī xuán yī zhòu, bù chí bù jí, bù gāo bù xià.”

[shu yu] zai fu zhi zhou wei yi xuan zhi jian, song bi yi ci tuo luo ni ye. mo he zhi guan di er shang, ming ban xing ban, zuo san mei zhong, yin da fang deng tuo luo ni jing: "li jing, yi zhi cheng xin bei qi yu lei, chen hui zui jiu jing, qi xuan bai er shi za, yi xuan yi zhou, bu chi bu ji, bu gao bu xia."
