一切遍智印 [yi qie bian zhi yin]—trikoṇa. A triangle above a white lotus, apex downward, of pure white colour, representing wisdom as a flame which burns up all passion and overcomes all opposition; the symbol of every Tathāgata. It is specially connected with Vairocana. Also 一切佛心印 [yi qie fu xin yin]; 諸佛心印 [zhu fu xin yin].

一切徧智印 [yi qie bian zhi yin]—(Yīqiè Biànzhì Yìn), the All-Pervading Wisdom Seal — [Its] 印相 [yin xiang] (yìnxiàng), or mudra form, is said to be a 三角形 [san jiao xing] (sānjiǎoxíng), a triangle. This is a 火形 [huo xing] (huǒxíng), fire shape, signifying the use of 智火 [zhi huo] (zhìhuǒ), the fire of wisdom, to 烧烦恼 [shao fan nao] (shāo fánnǎo), burn away afflictions. The fifth volume of the 大日经疏 [da ri jing shu] (Dàrì Jīng Shū), Commentary on the Mahavairocana Sutra, states: "Above the 大日如来 [da ri ru lai] (Dàrì Rúlái), Mahavairocana Tathagata, one should depict the (Yīqiè Biànzhì Yìn) as a triangle, with its 锐向下 [rui xiang xia] (ruì xiàng xià), point facing downwards. It is 纯白色 [chun bai se] (chún báisè), pure white, surrounded by 光焰围之 [guang yan wei zhi] (guāngyàn wéi zhī), blazing flames, and rests upon a 白莲华 [bai lian hua] (bái liánhuá), white lotus. This is none other than the 大勤勇印 [da qin yong yin] (dàqínyǒng yìn), Great Courageous Seal, of 十方三世 [shi fang san shi] (shífāng sāshì), all Tathagatas of the ten directions and three times (past, present, and future). It is also known as the 诸佛心印 [zhu fu xin yin] (zhūfó xīnyìn), Heart Seal of all Buddhas." The triangle symbolizes 降伏除障 [jiang fu chu zhang] (jiàngfú chúzhàng), subduing and removing obstacles. It signifies that the Buddha, while seated beneath the 道树 [dao shu] (dàoshù), Bodhi tree, used his 威德大势 [wei de da shi] (wēidé dàshì), majestic power and great might, to subdue the 四魔 [si mo] (sìmó), Four Māras, and thus attained 成正觉 [cheng zheng jue] (chéng zhèngjué), perfect enlightenment. The 鲜白 [xian bai] (xiānbái), pristine white color, is the 大慈悲色 [da ci bei se] (dà cíbēi sè), color of great compassion.

一切遍智印 [yi qie bian zhi yin]—The Seal of All-Pervading Wisdom — [Its mudra/seal form (印相 [yin xiang])] is described as a triangle (三角形 [san jiao xing]). This represents the shape of fire (火形 [huo xing]), signifying the burning of defilements (烦恼 [fan nao]) with the fire of wisdom (智火 [zhi huo]). The fifth volume of the Commentary on the Mahavairocana Sutra (大日经疏 [da ri jing shu]) states: "Above Mahavairocana Tathagata (大日如来 [da ri ru lai]), the Seal of All-Pervading Wisdom is depicted as a triangle, with its point downwards (锐向下 [rui xiang xia]), pure white (纯白色 [chun bai se]), surrounded by radiant flames (光焰 [guang yan]), and resting on a white lotus (白莲华 [bai lian hua]).
