Source: Google Books: Studies in the History of the Exact Sciences (Astronomy)Yantrottama (यन्त्रोत्तम) refers to the “best of the instruments”, according to the Nāradasaṃhitā verse 29.86-95 (pp. 181-184), a Sanskrit work on astrology having the Saralā commentary by Vasatirāma Śarmā.—Accordingly, “[...] The best of the astrologers should measure that auspicious moment by means of the water clock. [...] With this formula, one should deposit the best of the instruments [i.e., yantrottama—yantram uttamam], endowed with the aforementioned characteristics: ‘You have been created a long time ago by Brahmā as the foremost among the [time measuring] instruments. For the safety (abhaya) of the couple, you become the means of measuring the time [of their wedding]’.”.
Jyotisha (ज्योतिष, jyotiṣa or jyotish) refers to ‘astronomy’ or “Vedic astrology” and represents the fifth of the six Vedangas (additional sciences to be studied along with the Vedas). Jyotisha concerns itself with the study and prediction of the movements of celestial bodies, in order to calculate the auspicious time for rituals and ceremonies.

Source: University of Vienna: Sudarśana's Worship at the Royal Court According to the AhirbudhnyasaṃhitāYantrottama (यन्त्रोत्तम) refers to the “supreme Yantra”, according to the Ahirbudhnyasaṃhitā, belonging to the Pāñcarātra tradition which deals with theology, rituals, iconography, narrative mythology and others.—Accordingly, “He should have the supreme Yantra (yantrottama—yantram uttamam) constructed out of refined gold, with decorations of gems and coral and with all [the necessary] adornments. Just by making this, he shall obtain territory free of disorders. Having [properly] installed it, he should respectfully worship this [Yantra] which bestows all accomplishments. [...]”.
Pancaratra (पाञ्चरात्र, pāñcarātra) represents a tradition of Hinduism where Narayana is revered and worshipped. Closeley related to Vaishnavism, the Pancaratra literature includes various Agamas and tantras incorporating many Vaishnava philosophies.
