性根 [xing gen]—Xinggen—[Term] Same as genxing (根性 [gen xing]). It refers to the fundamental origin of a person's mind and heart (人心地之本原 [ren xin de zhi ben yuan]). Li Shen (李紳 [li shen])'s Shijingtang Ji (石經堂記 [shi jing tang ji]) states: "The Tathagata (如來 [ru lai]) universally reveals to all sentient beings (群生 [qun sheng]) through myriad doors and myriad practices (萬門萬行 [wan men wan xing]), using provisional expedient means (假方便 [jia fang bian]) according to their xinggen."
性根—【術語】猶言根性。謂人心地之本原也。李紳石經堂記曰:「如來以萬門萬行普示群生,隨其性根,用假方便。」
[shù yǔ] yóu yán gēn xìng. wèi rén xīn de zhī běn yuán yě. lǐ shēn shí jīng táng jì yuē: “rú lái yǐ wàn mén wàn xíng pǔ shì qún shēng, suí qí xìng gēn, yòng jiǎ fāng biàn.”
[shu yu] you yan gen xing. wei ren xin de zhi ben yuan ye. li shen shi jing tang ji yue: "ru lai yi wan men wan xing pu shi qun sheng, sui qi xing gen, yong jia fang bian."
