性佛 [xing fu]—The dharmakāya 法性佛 [fa xing fu], v. 法身 [fa shen].

性佛 [xing fu]—Nature Buddha — [Terminology] Also known as Dharmakaya Buddha (法 [fa]). It is the Dharmakaya (法身 [fa shen]) among the Three Bodies (三身 [san shen]). A verse differentiating exoteric (顯 [xian]) and esoteric (密 [mi]) teachings states: "The exoteric Dharmakaya remains silent, while the esoteric Nature Buddha preaches." Bianhuo Zhinan (辨惑指南 [bian huo zhi nan]) Vol. 3 says: "The Nature Buddha refers to the Dharmakaya Buddha of the Six Great Elements (六大 [liu da])." This is because esoteric Buddhism (密教 [mi jiao]) considers the Six Great Elements to be the Dharmakaya.
性佛—【術語】法性佛也。三身中之法身也。顯密不同頌曰:「顯法身默然,密性佛說法。」辨惑指南三曰:「性佛者,六大法性佛之意。」密教以六大為法身故也。
