相續識 [xiang xu shi]—(xiāngxù shí) — [Term] One of the five consciousnesses (五識 [wu shi]) mentioned in the Awakening of Faith in Mahayana (起信論 [qi xin lun]). It refers to the continuous aspect (相續相 [xiang xu xiang]) among the six dusts (六塵 [liu chen]). The former (referring to the differentiation of consciousnesses) is based on ignorance (無明 [wu ming]), while this is discussed from the perspective of the essence of consciousness (識體 [shi ti]).

相續識—【術語】起信論所說五識之一。即六塵中之相續相也。彼就無明而差別,此就識體而論者。
