鯗蠹 [xiǎng dù] [xiang du]—
An animal belonging to the order Coleoptera, family Dermestidae, class Insecta, phylum Arthropoda. It is about 7 mm in length, oblong-oval in shape, and black in color. The head is often retracted under the prothorax. It has a pair of antennae and long hairs at the end of the abdomen. It often damages fur, textiles, silkworm cocoons, etc.

The degree measure of celestial bodies. 《後漢書 [hou han shu].卷三 [juan san]○下 [xia].郎顗傳 [lang yi chuan]》: "Daytime studying the profound meanings, nighttime observing the (xiàng dù), diligently focusing thoughts, never tiring from morning till night." (Hou Han Shu, Biography of Lang Yi: "Daytime studying the profound meanings, nighttime observing the celestial degree measures, diligently focusing thoughts, never tiring from morning till night.")
