賢劫經 [xian jie jing]—Bhadrakalpika-sutra — [Sutra Name] Also known as the Bhadrakalpika Samadhi Sutra (颰陀劫三昧經 [ba tuo jie san mei jing]). It is translated as the Sutra of the Samadhi of the Auspicious Eon (賢劫定意經 [xian jie ding yi jing]). Comprising eight or ten fascicles (卷 [juan]), it was translated by Dharmarakṣa (竺法護 [zhu fa hu]) during the Western Jin Dynasty (西晉 [xi jin]). It first expounds on various samadhis (三昧 [san mei]), the perfections (度無極 [du wu ji]), and the Buddha's (佛 [fu]) supernatural powers (神通 [shen tong]) and merits (功德 [gong de]). Lastly, it speaks of the thousand Buddhas of the Auspicious Eon (賢劫 [xian jie]).
