下塵 [xia chen]—(xià chén) - [Term] The dusty realm of the lower world (下界之塵境 [xia jie zhi chen jing]), which refers to the evil paths (惡道 [e dao]). The Shimen Guijing Yi (釋門歸敬儀 [shi men gui jing yi]) states: "The physical body should not be simply abandoned to the lower dust." The Tong Zhen Ji (通真記 [tong zhen ji]) also states: "It is the lower world, the evil path."
