西晉 [xī jìn] [xi jin]—
Dynasty name (朝代名 [chao dai ming]). (西元 [xi yuan]265-316 AD) From Emperor Wu of Jin (晉武帝 [jin wu di]) to Emperor Min (愍帝 [min di]), the capital was Luoyang (洛陽 [luo yang]). Because Luoyang (洛陽 [luo yang]) was to the west (西邊 [xi bian]) of Jiankang (建康 [jian kang]), the capital (首都 [shou dou]) of the Eastern Jin (東晉 [dong jin]), it was therefore called the "Western Jin".
西晉:朝代名。(西元265~316)晉武帝至愍帝都於洛陽,因洛陽在東晉首都建康的西邊,故稱為「西晉」。
