西宮 [xī gōng] [xi gong]—
1. A palace (宮室 [gong shi]) located in the west (西方 [xi fang]). From the 《儀禮 [yi li].喪服 [sang fu]》 (Yili: Mourning Garments): "There are East Palaces (東宮 [dong gong]), West Palaces, South Palaces (南宮 [nan gong]), and North Palaces (北宮 [bei gong]); they reside separately but share wealth."
2. The monarch's (國君 [guo jun]) concubines (嬪妃 [pin fei]). For example: "West Palace Lady (娘娘 [niang niang])."
3. A separate palace (別宮 [bie gong]), a place where concubines (媵妾 [ying qie]) reside. From Tang (唐 [tang]) Dynasty, Wang Changling's (王昌齡 [wang chang ling]) poem 《春怨 [chun yuan]》 (Spring Resentment at West Palace): "At West Palace, the night is quiet and a hundred flowers fragrant; wishing to roll up the pearl curtain, spring sorrow lingers." From Yuan (元 [yuan]) Dynasty, Ma Zhiyuan's (馬致遠 [ma zhi yuan]) 《漢宮秋 [han gong qiu]》 (Autumn in the Han Palace), Act 2: "Ever since [I saw] Wang Zhaojun (王昭君 [wang zhao jun]) at the West Palace Pavilion (閣 [ge]), I have been like one infatuated, neglecting court for a long time."
西宮:1.位於西方的宮室。《儀禮.喪服》:「有東宮、有西宮、有南宮、有北宮,異居而同財。」
2.國君的嬪妃。如:「西宮娘娘」。
3.別宮,媵妾居住的地方。唐.王昌齡〈西宮春怨〉詩:「西宮夜靜百花香,欲捲珠簾春恨長。」元.馬致遠《漢宮秋》第二折:「自從西宮閣下,得見了王昭君,使朕如痴似醉,久不臨朝。」
xī gōng:1. wèi yú xī fāng de gōng shì. < yí lǐ. sàng fú>: “yǒu dōng gōng,, yǒu xī gōng,, yǒu nán gōng,, yǒu běi gōng, yì jū ér tóng cái.”
2. guó jūn de pín fēi. rú: “xī gōng niáng niáng” .

細工 [xì gōng] [xi gong]—
Precise and delicate work (精密細緻的工作 [jing mi xi zhi de gong zuo]). For example: "He has always been careful and cautious (小心謹慎 [xiao xin jin shen]) in his work, so he is responsible for the fine work section." Also known as "細活 [xi huo]".
