網路 [wǎng lù] [wang lu]—
1. A complex circuit composed of electronic components such as resistors (電阻 [dian zu]), inductors (電感 [dian gan]), capacitors (電容 [dian rong]), and transistors (電晶體 [dian jing ti]).
2. A broadcasting network (廣播網 [guang bo wang]) in which multiple broadcasting stations (廣播電臺 [guang bo dian tai]) are connected by cables, radio, or ordinary wires.
3. Utilizing cable lines or existing telecommunication lines, in conjunction with network cards (卡 [ka]) or modems (數據機 [shu ju ji]), to connect servers (伺服器 [ci fu qi]) with individual computers, achieving information transmission and data sharing under the operation of software. This system is called a "network". For example, "local area network" (區域 [qu yu]) and "Internet" (網際 [wang ji]).
