Vyuparatakriyānivarti (व्युपरतक्रियानिवर्ति).—The fourth of the four types of pure meditation (śukla-dhyāna);—What is the meaning of vyuparatakriyā-nivarti (‘irreversible stillness of the soul pure meditation’)? Vyuparatakriyā-nivarti pure meditation is when after making the duration of all the four non-obscuring karmas equal and through subtle bodily activities embraces the meditation on pure soul to destroy all activities (mind, body and speech) completely. Vyuparatakriyā-nivarti is possible to the omniscient without activities (ayoga-kevalī) in the 14th stage of spiritual purification (guṇasthāna).
