Vyayaśeṣa (व्ययशेष).—net balance that remains after expenditure; बाह्यं चाभ्यन्तरं चायं विद्याद् वर्षशतादपि । यथा पृष्टो न सज्येत व्ययशेषे च दर्शयेत् (bāhyaṃ cābhyantaraṃ cāyaṃ vidyād varṣaśatādapi | yathā pṛṣṭo na sajyeta vyayaśeṣe ca darśayet) Kau. A.2.5.
