Vyavadāyati (व्यवदायति) or Vyavadāyate.—(= Pali vodāyati; compare prec., and [Boehtlingk and Roth] and [Boehtlingk] s.v. 7 dā, but app. not used in the same meaning), becomes purified: (naite…dharmā udvijante, na) saṃkli- śyante na °yante Śikṣāsamuccaya 263.15; similarly, na saṃkliśyate na °yate Śatasāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā 140.14; (na ca…saṃkliśyate na…) °yati Aṣṭasāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā 399.15, 16. Cf. saṃkleśa contrasting with vyavadāna.
