Vyañjanadhātu (व्यञ्जनधातु) is another name for Vyañjana (“indication”) refers to one of the four classes of dhātu (stroke), according to the Nāṭyaśāstra chapter 29. The four dhūtas relate to different aspects of strokes in playing stringed instruments (tata).
