Source: archive.org: Natya ShastraVyādhimaraṇa (व्याधिमरण).—“Death from sickness” is caused by determinants (vibhāva) such as a malady of the intestine and the liver, colic pain, disturbance of humours, tumours, boils, fever, cholera, and the like. Death (maraṇa) due to disease (vyādhi) is to be represented on the stage by one mark viz. loose body and inactive sense-organs.
Natyashastra (नाट्यशास्त्र, nāṭyaśāstra) refers to both the ancient Indian tradition (shastra) of performing arts, (natya—theatrics, drama, dance, music), as well as the name of a Sanskrit work dealing with these subjects. It also teaches the rules for composing Dramatic plays (nataka), construction and performance of Theater, and Poetic works (kavya).
