Source: What is India: Inscriptions of the ŚilāhārasViṭṭhapaiya (विट्ठपैय) is mentioned in the “Prince of wales museum plates of Mummuṇirāja”. Accordingly, “... while the administration (Śrīkaraṇa) consisting of the Mahāmātya, the illustrious Daddapaiya, the Mahāsāndhivigrahika, the illustrious Viṭṭhapaiya and so forth is bearing the burden of the cares of his kingdom...”.
Viṭṭhapaiya (विट्ठपैय) (fl. 1053 A.D.) or Viṭtṭhapaiya is also mentioned in the “Dive Agar plate of Mummuṇirāja”. Accordingly, “The illustrious King Mummuṇideva lays down the settlement for the learned Brāhmaṇas endowed with wisdom, who are prominent among the sixteen representatives (mahattarakas) residing at Āgara-dīpaka, in the presence of principal royal officers such as... , the Sāndhivigrahika, the illustrious Viṭṭapaiya Nāyaka...”.
