Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarVispaṣṭādi (विस्पष्टादि).—A class of words headed by the word विस्पष्ट (vispaṣṭa) which retain their own accents in a compound when they are the first members of a compound, provided that any word of quality is the second member e. g. विस्पष्टकटुकम् । व्यक्तलवणम् (vispaṣṭakaṭukam | vyaktalavaṇam) where the words विस्पष्ट (vispaṣṭa) and व्यक्त (vyakta) are used in the sense of clear, referring to the different tastes; cf. Kāś. On P. VI. 2.24.
